Culture of Excellence

In the UK, our students have received 16 Oxbridge offers with offer holders continuing their undergraduate studies in Psychology and Linguistics, Law, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, Natural Sciences, Economics, Medicine, and Land Economy. Three students were awarded the prestigious Prince Philip Scholarship while one student has been further recognized with the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarship. SPCC students have also earned admission to other prestigious universities in the UK including Imperial College London (17), LSE (7), UCL (35), University of Bristol (9) and University of Edinburgh (20).

SPCC students have spearheaded inspiring community initiatives that have gained them admission into some of the most highly selective universities in world. This has led to an impressive list of offers in the US along with well-deserved scholarships. We have one student who will attend Harvard University on a full scholarship. Another student will attend Columbia University as a Rabi Scholar (awarded to a small number of incoming freshmen who demonstrate exceptional promise in the sciences) and has also received the AmCham Charitable Foundation Lyn Edinger U.S. Studies Scholarship. Other offers that SPCC students have received include Cornell University (4) (Tanner Dean’s Scholar), Stanford University (full scholarship), University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth College, Duke University (2), Northwestern University, Rice University (Shepherd Society Award), Vanderbilt University (Crescere Aude), UCLA, UC Berkeley (3), UC San Diego (6), Northeastern University, Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute (Premiere Talent Scholarship), and the University of Southern California amongst other highly-selective schools in the US.

Students have also received many offers and accolades from universities in Canada such as the University of Toronto (International Scholar Award, International Merit Admission Award), McGill University, University of Waterloo, University of Ottawa, Western University and the University of British Columbia (UBC International Major Entrance Scholarship, Outstanding International Student Award).

One student will attend Keio University in Japan while two students have received offers from the University of Hong Kong – University of British Columbia dual degree program for commerce.

In the UK, SPCC has broken yet another record, with the class of 2023 receiving a total of 19 Oxbridge offers. Offer holders will be going on to read Biomedical Sciences, Experimental Psychology, Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, Natural Sciences, Law, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Economics, and Music. Two of our offer holders who will be matriculating to Cambridge are also recipients of the coveted Prince Philip Scholarship (2). We also continue to receive a strong number of offers from other highly selective institutions in the UK including Imperial College, LSE, UCL, University of Warwick and University of Manchester.

Despite the obstacles brought on by the pandemic, our students continue to show their dedication to become impactful class leaders, who make meaningful contributions to their communities. In the US, students received offers from Stanford University, UCLA (3), Brown University, Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania, MIT, Northwestern University (student-athlete recruit - fencing), Johns Hopkins University, Duke University, Wellesley College, New York University (2), WBB HKUST-Bocconi-USC (3) (WBB Merit Scholarship), University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, University of Virginia (Echols Scholar), University of Washington (Seattle) amongst other prestigious institutions.

In Canada, students received offers from the University of Toronto (International Scholar Award (3) and President’s Scholars of Excellence), McGill University, Western University and University of British Columbia.

Our aspiring lawyers also received excellent offers from dual programs including the University of Hong Kong - UCL program and the University of Hong Kong - Peking University program.
